For the record, to anyone who cares…I don’t hate Patti Smith. Just because I don’t think she wrote the World’s Best Novel doesn’t mean I dislike her as a person or artist. I hate her book. So what? I think more of us should take a page from allpattismith’s book and use differing opinions on art, music, literature or whatever to open up discussions, not to send petty messages to one another over a (largely anonymous) website.
